DNA Testing

We can test birds of the following species: *African Greys *Amazon *Budgies *Caiques *Cockatiels *Cockatoos *Conures *Conure Hybrids *Eclectus *Lories *Lovebirds *Macaws *Macaw Hybrids *Mini Macaws *Parakeets *Parrots *Parrotlets *Pionus *Rosellas

Our DNA testing is done by blood collection, most easily obtained in the process of a nail trim, and requires only a drop or two of blood.

We use the lab Avian Biotech International, who guarantees their results and set the standard for excellence in avian DNA-based sexing. They are located in Tallahassee, Florida, and can provide results in several days with a certificate available in a week.
